The Chairman of Asharqia Chamber: We cherish the Sultan of Oman's visit to the Kingdom, and we look forward to a greater partnership between the private sector in the two brotherly countries

The Chairman of the Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, stressed the importance of the visit of the Sultanate of Oman, sister Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, to the Kingdom on Sunday, June 11, 2021 AD, and its role in strengthening and documenting the strong and historically well-established fraternal relations between the leaderships of the two countries, saying: It comes as an expansion of the horizons of cooperation. And ways to develop it at all levels and in various fields between the two brotherly countries.

Al-Khalidi pointed to the historical depth of the Saudi-Omani relations, the intimate atmosphere, and good neighborliness, as the two brotherly countries have qualitative relations that have been strengthened by blood ties, heritage, a common destiny, and the presence of a wise political will in both countries that pursue unified and clear policies and visions on all issues and topics facing the region.

Al-Khalidi pointed out that the keenness and tireless pursuit of the leadership of the two countries - may God protect them - towards strengthening relations between the two brotherly countries at all levels, was one of the main capabilities that helped a lot in developing economic and trade relations between the two countries, expecting that the coming periods will witness more investment opportunities and cooperation. And the economic integration between the two countries in many sectors and economic activities, pointing to the steady growth of the volume of trade exchange between the two countries, which in 2020 amounted to about $3.36 billion, while the volume of the Kingdom’s exports to the Sultanate amounted to about $1.16 billion.

Al-Khalidi said that with this visit - which we are very proud of as a business sector - we are looking forward to a greater partnership between the private sector in the two brotherly countries, as the prepared conditions supported by the factors of history, geography, destiny, and common visions make the horizon unlimited for cooperation between the Kingdom and the brothers in the Sultanate of Oman.
